I just had the mirena put in today. Did anyone else experience a feeling similar to a misplaced tampon? Almost like when the tampon isn’t in the whole way? I don’t really know a better way to describe it. Curious if anyone else experienced this and how long it lasted.

Update:

Turns out what I was feeling was my cervix being swollen. They didn’t mention that as a side effect. Much better today. Another side effect I didn’t know about was tissue and oxidized blood discharge. Really gross and had me concerned but dr said it’s totally normal.
