Rude to register for a lot more gifts than the amount of guests?

I’m registering at target and have about four times more gifts than guests of cheap to more pricey, because we have 6 months after the wedding to purchase everything left on our registry for 15-20% off, and we know most of the gifts won’t even be bought but we want to buy them ourselves at a discount 😂 is it rude to have so many gifts on our registry?

Not rude. It gives people lots of options. 
No one wants to be the last person buying a gift and be stuck with whatever the last item is. It may not be in their price range. 
In fact, I think it’s the opposite of rude to have lots of options.

People don’t HAVE to buy gifts for you guys if they don’t want to. I honestly find it helpful to have an abundance of gifts so your guests will have a lot to choose from

More to choose from. When we registered barely anyone checked it and just gave us gift cards or cash. 🤷🏻‍♀️ so put whatever you want on it so you can at least secure your discount

I did it for my baby registry 🤷🏼‍♀️ I put everything my husband and I needed or wanted for our son because they offer bomb ass discounts when buying off the registry. Plus it helped me keep organized of what I got and what I needed
