How do you size up? (Baby clothes)

Question

When you baby sizes up (ex. From 6 months clothing to 9 months clothing) how many pairs of clothes do you buy your baby? Do you do an entire wardrobe again? Or have a selected amount of clothing pieces you’re going to buy?

I buy a few things at time. Everyone’s baby is different, but my daughter grows out of footed sleepers first. She’s long, so I buy those first. She grows out of pants last, so I buy those last. She was wearing newborn pants til 12 weeks, I just moved her up in sleepers at 14 weeks, but her 0-3 onesies and rompers and pants still fit her great. Her 0-3 gowns still fit as well.

I slowly just buy when I’m out. Few pieces here and there. He typically doesn’t size up completely out of all of his clothes so when he was mostly in 9 months, 6-9 and some 6 still fit. 
I say buy a few pants. Make sure some are regular colored jeans. Buy a few more shirts.

As I realize something is close to or on its last wear, I grab a replacement or two next time I'm out or think of it to order online.

When I was pregnant and there was a sale at Kohl’s I bought a haul lol I bought a range from newborn to 12M. Luckily my LO has been growing on track (a bit small in weight so she was in newborn longer). Not that it was necessary to buy all those sizes, but just because. And even then, only a few items each. My LO is long so I’m glad I didn’t buy too many pants or footed PJs. 
I just buy as we have been going now that baby is here. Amazon is great for that, but Carters often has sales. I’m a FTM but I would think to have like 10 onesies and then a few cute outfits at a time in the size baby is currently. We hardly go out of the house right now so cute outfits are mostly for pictures 😄 Let’s be honest, with a baby you do so much wash and it’s so quick to acquire items anymore so it isn’t major to stock up (unless you find a good sale).

I bought newborn to 12 months while pregnant.  They are only in a size for 12 weeks so it goes by quick.
