My mother in law visited with her mother and sister recently. They tried asking if I've given my 9 week old baby cereal yet. Let me note, he has no problems feeding out of bottle or breast. He doesnt spit up. He rarely ever fusses. All around hes a happy go lucky baby. Anyway, when my first was born I had MIL come watch her so I could shower and get a little sleep. She was about 6 weeks old. I came out and she was feeding her cereal by the spoon. I was furious. Again, no reason to do that. So I put it off and told them, no I havent thought about giving him cereal. My in laws are quite intimidating know-it-alls. So I never came out of my shell with them. I guess i dont like confrontation. Is it really necessary just because that's what they did back in your day?! I would also like to include that my MIL also brought up that I need to get my 2 year old daughter sleeping in her own bed. I've also been trying to let my daughters hair grow out, I havent cut her bangs so they get in her eyes sometimes. She said she is going to come over with trimmers and cut them. She also changed my sons diaper to feel like shes helping when she actually put my daughters size 5 diaper on him. I mean WTH!!! I am about to lose my freaking mind with this woman. I dont mind at all my daughter sleeping in bed with me, of course she has her own bed but she wants to sleep in bed with me most nights. Overall, the cereal situation, the bed, the diaper, and the bangs ordeal are driving me up a wall. Fr. Rant OVER!
