Heeey "you guuuys"
How do you feel about the phrase "you guys"
For example: Hi you guys" "Come on guys" "Hey guys, are you ready"
When I'm at work, I try my best to leave off any pronouns because I used the wrong pronoun for a customer once and I felt horrible. So I try to watch how I address people now. However, I still find myself saying "you guys". Is that problematic? Is it okay to say "you guys" and have it not be offensive? I try to swap it out with "everyone" or "the group" based on context, but it still slips out. You wouldn't typically walk up to a group of people, regardless of gender, and say "hey ladies" "hey girls" .
What does everyone think? Am I overthinking it, is this a silly question, or is it problematic?
