How to address this?
My in-laws are wild. They’re disrespectful of our wishes and constantly overstepping their boundaries.
Our son is going to have his first Christmas and birthday back to back. My husband and I feel very strongly about doing the Montessori method for his room and toys.
My in-laws are not going to like being told what to buy or what my son will use (they just bought him $50 worth of LEGO’s (4+ age recommendation) and he’s 6 months old).
Should we just let them buy what they want to buy and put what we don’t want to use in storage/donate later? Or should we risk the fight of having the conversation of the kinds of toys we want for our son?
Edit: I’m okay with them being excited for and spoiling my son. I can’t sit here and type out all the ways they’ve disrespected our parenting it will take all day.
