I think grace would look much better and more professional on things like job and college applications. Something about the given name Gracie just feels tacky to me but it’s a super adorable nickname. Like can you imagine a lawyer named Gracie or a doctor Gracie?

If I had put up multiple options for first names I’d be more flexible hearing the opinions against Gracie. Personally I don’t see how it’s different than naming a child any other endearing, dainty, feminine name like Lacie or Sadie. It’s not short for Grace, it’s a different name. If you associate it only as a nick name that’s on you. If she wants to nickname herself “Grace” later on, that’s on her. I’ve always read don’t share your names with people because they can be really rude but I just didn’t expect to see it here! Personally I think “Gracie Griffiths” sounds amazing, and if a future boss passes her up because of her first name, well then it’s best she move on anyways.
