Self weaning????🤔

Question

So.today my son hasn't been latched more than 3 minutes a feeding which is weird. He usually does 5-10 minutes on one breast per feed and we switch off which breast every feeding. So I've made sure he had a water sippy and a milk sippy all day but I dont feel like he has drank very much!!!??? How many oz a day of liquid is enough?! He has meals and snacks to eat too but I'm a little worried he isn't getting enough to drink. Oh and hes 1 since july 24th.

My son does the EXACT same. Usually 5-10 minutes on one side and sometimes 2-3 minutes every so often instead. Usually that is when he's working on another tooth or is just distracted (or being insane like all babies are). Typically he goes back to his regular nursing pattern in a few days. 
As long as your little one has about the same number of diapers each day and is behaving normally otherwise, I would try not to worry. He'll make up for not drinking as much in the next feeding session....usually at night for my son. It's unlikely that he's weaning by himself. More likely going through something (teething, leap, etc.) that will pass in a little while.
