Weird smell from IUD???

I I just recently got an IUD put in and I my period started like a week ago, and now it should be over. It’s not completely “gone”.... like there is some darker smelly stuff coming out. It’s not a lot, but enough that I’m wearing a thin-ish pad. I’m scared and I don’t know what to do!?!?!? I’m 18.
