Period problems coming off the pill?

Ol

So before I started taking the pill my cycles used to be pretty irregular ranging from around 33-40 days. I took the pill for 6 months and obviously went back to normal 28 day cycles, however I stopped due to personal reasons and not agreeing with my pill. I had my withdrawal bleed when i came off the pill, and then expected a few months to wait before my normal period came back. However, 28 days after my withdrawal bleed, I got my period. Obviously this was a lot more regular than my previous natural cycle and I assumed that taking the pill had in some way regulated my cycle.

However, it is now a month later, and I am on day 35 of my cycle but no period has come. A couple of days ago I had some light cramping and mild hot flushes as I normally would before a period, but nothing came of it. Obviously i will take a pregnancy test but it’s extremely unlikely that it could be pregnancy as I have not had unprotected sex once since stopping the pill, and my boyfriend usually pulls out before he cums even when we use a condom (I know these things can still fail but the likelihood is low).

I was just wondering if this is normal when coming off the pill, if my period will come at all or if I may now go for a few months without having one? I know sometimes it can take months to become regular again but the fact I did seem to have a natural period last month has confused me.

(Just thought I’d add, I’m not looking to conceive, I just came off the pill for other reasons).
