How do you know when your period ends?

A week ago I just got my first period and today since overnights there was nothing I thought it ended but when I went to the toilet i realised there was blood and my period hadn’t ended.
Since this is my first period I do not know.

First welcome to womanhood! Congrats (I think lol).  So yes this can totally happen.  I always say that my period plays tricks on me. Keeps me on my toes.  My period does the same. I will get excited and think it’s over and nope it just wasn’t done. Usually when it happens it’s very light and only last a day or so more.   Not everyone is the same at all.  And not every cycle is always the same. If you can, since it was your first, try to keep a diary or a log about how long it lasted how heavy, if you had cramps or backache.  Keeping a log will help in the future.  Maybe you already do that here on glow.  Good luck! 💛. Don’t ever be afraid to ask questions.   Good rule too, is always keep a pad or panty liner with you just in case.   💛
