I’m a stay at home mom so my fiancé is our ONLY source of income for us and our 6 month old. He’s a General Manager at a small fast casual food chain and for whatever reason this guy keeps trying to size up my fiancé and say reckless shit to him. Today he went as far as to threaten my fiancé with violence saying he would “slap the shit out of him” for over looking extra employee shirts that he was supposed to return. He’s even threatened to “get rid” of him for no reason at all and tried to pin shit on my SO like using the company card for unauthorized things which wasn’t true at all and was quickly disputed. He on multiple occasions tried to demean my fiancé and referred to himself as “an Alpha” during a business meeting.

He has a problem that my fiancé “only” works 40-50 hours a week to keep his restaurant afloat and the others work closer to 60+ hours. He even went as far as to single my SO out during the business meeting and telling him he has to pay his own bill because he hardly works. Mind you, it’s a salary position so one day he’s there for 13 hours the next only 5 hours, it just depends on business.

My fiancé just kind of sits and takes it because he’s afraid of not being able to provide for us, plus he doesn’t want to let the asshole see him sweat. And he can’t just go to anyone above his HR head because they’re all family. I told him to apply else we’re but he’s uneasy about it. What would y’all do?

I’m so frustrated and want to choke this guy and I feel so bad for my man. Should I call a lawyer? Thanks in advance.
