How did you or he say I love you ?

I’m dating my boyfriend almost 5 months now and no sex just you know touching up and kissing and hugs and we still haven’t said I love you to eachother! I wonder how long it’ll take and if he’ll say it or if he’s waiting for me to say it ?! Comment on your story of how it happened I’m anxious to hear him say I love you and I pray he does cause I do love him a lot

It took two months of dating for my husband to say I love you, I wasn’t quite ready to say it back and left him kinda hanging for a week.  We had been kissing on the couch and he stopped and told me, I was so shocked, I think my jaw dropped.  I told him that I wasn’t sure how I felt yet and told him a week later that I loved him back.  Almost three years later, we are married and have a baby due any day!  I still feel bad for that week of stress!
Our relationship was different then most, since we worked together and lived in the same house, so together 18 hours a day, each relationship is so unique.

We were just naturally saying I love you the first week that we knew each other. It just felt natural. We would say: "bye! Love you!". I barely even noticed.

My boyfriend and I had really crappy relationships in the past, so it took us about 2 years to say I love you to each other. I remember when he did because it was my birthday 2 years ago and we were with a couple of our friends going to bars. It wasn’t turning out to be a good night so I was about to just leave early and catch a ride with some friends. I was getting ready to tell him and he pulled me aside and just started saying, “I love you and I’m so sorry it took me so long to tell you but you know how everything was in the past.” It made my whole night better. We’ve also been living with each other for our whole relationship pretty much. We knew that we loved each other it just took us a good while to say it.

With my husband, we were sitting in his room talking about nothing in particular. He made me laugh super hard at something and after I got my breath back, I told him I had to tell him something but I wasn’t sure if he thought it was too early. He told me to just tell him because he was pretty sure he wanted to say the same thing as me. And I told him and he said he loved me too and the rest is history.
He was the only person I said I love you to first, all my other relationships, the guy said it first.
