Stairs after c section?

Question

When I had my first c section I lived in a place that was all one level no stairs but now we’re in a 2 floor home. Can I use stairs or should I try to stay on one floor?

I had a c section and live in a 2 story and immediately started using the stairs when I got home as my room is upstairs and my kids too also my husband returned to work after I got home it wasn't bad at all

I was told to try to only use them once or twice a day, like literally to go up to bed and that’s it. I followed the instructions and i had no issues

I live on the 3rd floor of an apt and had two caections, had to walk up 4 flights of stairs 3days after. I took it slow, one at a time. There wasn’t an option I had to get upstairs to my apartment. My doctor said take it one at a time. If it’s your house, I would stay downstairs for a little while, obviously. I just didn’t have a choice. With my second he was stillborn so I had to walk up then back down 3 days later to pick up his remains at the funeral home and sign paperwork.

First week stay down stairs, I remember the pain barely lifting my foot off the ground with my first. Everyone forgets how much you use abdomen muscles til you get cut on. Lol

Same situation, I was nervous but made it up. Took extra pain meds right before leaving hospital. First day stayed upstairs, next 2 days I'd come down once a day only.

You can use the stairs however for me they were painful. If you have someone to help you avoid them for a few days you can probably save yourself a little pain. I had no choice my bedroom was down stairs and the bathroom was upstairs and I did fine.

Avoid steps you could fall or slip and have an even bigger problem! This is just my first thought I avoided steps as much as possible for 2 weeks at least just be sure i was okay. But whatever you decided momma just take it slow. Good luck
