Hospital bag dos and donts? Post partum necessities?

What are some things I absolutely need in my bag and things I don’t really need? What does baby need? I want to have things ready in my bathroom for postpartum as well, any recommendations there? First time mommy and no idea what I need!!

This is my list. This is my 3rd, so I’m just basing off of my experience and things I prefer to have. I think it’s a good base and you can add/subtract whatever you feel is something you need or don’t need.

We really don't bring much at all because the hospital provided most everything we need. We've only had c sections though so I'm not sure what you might want to bring for a vaginal birth.
Phones and chargers, bed pillow, boppy for easier nursing, bathrobe, toiletries, hairbrush. Since I get a c section I just go home in what I wear there- something loose and slippers.
For baby we bring 2 outfits in newborn and 3 month sizes just in case, car seat, and a cute swaddle blanket.
My hospital provided plenty of food and snacks, a huge reusable water bottle, diapers, wipes, baby shirt, I wore the hospital gown the whole time, pads and mesh panties, and they have blankets and pillows for my husband so he can sleep there. If you take a tour of the maternity unit they'll let you know what they provide so you don't have to pack a ton. My first baby I packed wayyyy too much and barely used any of it. At home I had plenty of big pads and adult diapers and brought home the water squirt bottle.
