Anyone else test positive for strep b?

Freaking out cause I tested positive for strep b and not sure what to expect. Anyone have an experience?

Just a quick round of antibiotics in your IV and that’s it . Was + with my first and had a C section they just did it quickly before the OR

Had it with my first (I get tested next week with my second). I thought the antibiotics hurt going into my arm so they added water and it helped a lot. Just a tip!

Had it with my first, had one round of antibiotics (he came before we could start the second dose) and he was completely healthy. He’s now 3 and patiently awaiting his little brothers arrival. Haven’t tested for gbs yet this time but if I have it again, antibiotics during labor and everyone should be great. You and baby will be perfectly fine! Don’t worry too much.

I've been battling it all pregnancy long. I've been on antibiotics 4 times and now have preeclampsia. Doctor said I'll be on antibiotics as soon as I come in to be induced so it doesn't pass to the baby.

It’s no big deal you just get antibiotics through your IV during labor. It can harm baby if not, so make sure when you’re in labor you go to the hospital so you can get the IV inserted in time

I haven’t got my results yet but I was positive with my first son. I had 2 rounds of antibiotics during labor. Baby had no complications

It is very very common and women can go their entire lives without knowing they have it but in the case of giving birth you are given antibiotics to treat as to not pass it onto baby. If your water breaks you gotta go to the hospital sooner rather than later so they can start you on an antibiotic iv. I have it and about 4 other people I know had it.

I get tested Tuesday. They explained in our birthing class that it's very common. In fact, we all have strep B but most women just carry it internally.
They give antibiotics during labor to prevent the baby from passing through it. Don't stress Momma!
