Did/do you allow you baby to watch educational tv?

This is extremely controversial. My baby LOVES baby bum nursery rhymes and baby Einstein. My sisters watched it as babies and my niece and they are all EXTREMELY smart for their age. They knew their animals, animal sounds, colors, and numbers by the age of 1 , 1 1/2. I let my baby watch them like 20 minutes a day because she enjoys them so much. Does that make me a bad mom? Lol PLEASE no hate, just experience.

No, I never allowed TV for my baby. There is too much evidence and studies that prove tv is bad for young children. I also refuse to use TV as a babysitter for my child. 
My child is 3 now. They don’t watch TV unless it’s a documentary, and even that is rare. My child can read, so he likes to read books, play with his toys, color and draw. He loves the outside and loves to play outside. We also swim 3-4 times a week. I don’t want him relying on electronics to keep him entertained. 
My child is very intelligent and he’s reading on a 1st grade level just like I did when I was 3. He is also learning to write and spell. He has 2 play kitchens in his playroom where he plays and uses his imagination. 
When he’s older, maybe around 7-8, he can find some shows he might like. He will also be in sports as well when he starts school. I just personally don’t believe in TV for young children under the age of 5. There are several studies and evidence and articles to support my decision and my pediatrician also agrees. So I’m content with my decision.

My 5 month old has watched an entire film when he was like 3 months lol, I didn't put it on for him he just decided to watch the whole thing 😂 I wasn't gonna stop him having fun

No. Not until about two years old.  
It doesn’t make you a bad mom. 
But studies have shown that’s not how little babies learn (they learn through human interaction). So I personally wouldn’t intentionally set my baby down to watch tv. Although I get it if someone has to make dinner or get something done and that’s the only way it’ll work. 
But at 20 minutes a day, I don’t think you’re doing harm.

We have Baby Bum on A LOT and before I started putting it on for him, his vocabulary was limited but I noticed he started repeating what he heard in the songs. He would count the numbers and say the letters and said yellow at one point.

Yesssss my 2 year old been watching educational tv seen being home from hospital on top of So n I talking regular no baby talking and doing our own teaching/correcting when words are wrong etc n now my baby shock everyone n ppl usually think she's older based on how smart n well spoken and how she use such big words in the right context. She count to 27 without mistakes obviously Know her ABC colors shapes( even the not so basic like pentagon n hexagon) she use larger words she told me yesterday she's appalled lol and used it correctly all I could was laugh and ask y lol so I'm all for educational tv

We didn’t allow any tv at all until our daughter turned 1. Once she turned 1 she was allowed to watch one 30 minute show a day and at about 18 months she would watch two 30 minute shows a day, usually one in the morning sometime and one later in the afternoon. We taught her everything through talking to her, books and flash cards. They can learn all the same stuff they can learn on those tv shows through books and human interaction. Although I don’t think limited tv time is bad, its only bad if they’re spending the majority of their days watching tv as it doesn’t give them time to develop in other ways.

My son started refusing naps at exactly 2 years old. We have Amazon Free Time and a kindle 8 that I got on sale.
Even though he refuses naps he still goes into his room with the lights off for 2 hours. He's only able to access videos that I approved. He chooses to watch Blippi 😆
