My 6 month old will not let me put him down for a nap. I’ve been trying since he was a couple weeks old and he just screams when I do. I’m getting nothing done during the day because it takes 30 minutes to get him to sleep and then when I try to lay him down he cry’s and screams so hard he starts coughing and throws himself around and always ends up hitting his head hard into the sides of the crib. It then takes me another 30 minutes to get him to sleep and then he sleeps between 20 minutes and an hour. I’m getting so frustrated. I don’t have any help and I don’t have money to hire a sleep couch. I’ve read so many things online and I’ve tried almost everything but non of it’s worked. I talked to my mother in law and sister in laws and they said that it’s normal and that they never put their kids down for naps which I know isn’t true because I remember my one sister in law always putting her daughter down for a nap. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips?

He’s also not the best sleeper at night. He sleeps 4 hours and then he’s up every 1-2 hours. He’s up for the day around 4. Maybe I’m getting frustrated because I’m tired myself...
