Confused

I had my appointment with my doctor and so far they have been marking me 8 weeks based on my last period. HOWEVER, the ultrasound measured me at 6 weeks (which is when I ovulated) AND the doctor couldn’t get a good pic or heartbeat so we made an appointment to return and to a regular ultrasound (we did a vaginal one) I’m just frustrated because I feel we wasted, time, money and energy and know less than we knew going to the appointment. Also my uterus is apparently tilted. Can anyone offer insight??
