Pregnant ladies that work in health care?

When did it become too much for you? When did you stop using the lift to lift people? I’m 19 weeks and have to use a lift to lift an extremely heavy set woman. It takes a lot on my body and when I’m finally done I almost feel like I’m going to pass out.

I am a surgical technician i stopped lifting patients early on especially since we don’t know how a person will wake up and I don’t want kicked in the belly or worse. I didn’t get it in writing from the doctors til a little later with in general heavy lifting pushing and pulling.

I’m in healthcare but luckily I don’t usually have a lot of lifting to do. Out of curiosity, how is using a lift so taxing?

I’m a CNA at a rehabilitation hospital. I lift patients all day (we rarely use mechanical lifts). I worked up until 4 days before my due date with my daughter and I’ll work until I have this next baby. It’s definitely harder and I notice that I’m more tired. I drink a lot of water at work and ask for help if I need it.
