Ladies if you get an IUD and you have non stop pain or cramps...please see your doctor. I thought this was normal because i was told this would be a side effect for the first 3-6 months. Well that pain got worse and started having fevers over 100. Month #8 i went back to the doctor. I couldn't stand this pain. Turns out i have a nasty infection. Bacterial was pushed up in my uterus when the IUD was placed. No i dont have any STDs. It was normal bacteria from my cervix. I am on 4 different antibiotics and have to take a shot and scheduled an ultra sound. They are trying to prevent Pelvic inflammatory disease. It is serious and can be treated. But with out treatment can spread to other organs and in some cases lead you to be infertile. So please if you have any cramps....just see your doctor. Dont think its normal because you were told so. This can happen to anyone.
