Is my baby close to crawling? He is turning 8 months on the 11th and hasn’t crawled yet. I’m a bit worried but he seems to be getting closer each day. Does this look like he is getting ready to crawl? Any tips or tricks you all have for helping him?

Just keep playing with him on the floor. You both are doing great. I see that he’s sitting up and was able to catch himself! So that pretty good. Just continue to play with him. He definitely looks like he is focused and wants to get that frog.

My first crawled at 9.5m but anything up to  at least 11m is totally normal. And some never crawl! They  go straight to walking.

He still has a lot of time to learn how to crawl before you should get worried. My first 3 crawled right around 8 months. My newest crawled before 7 months. It's hard to say when they'll crawl. My little man had been on all 4 rocking for months, scooting backwards for almost 3 months. One day he woke up and just crawled. Don't try to rush him. Just enjoy lots of floor time :-)
