Sleep schedule anxiety
So I know you can’t truly sleep train an infant. My boy is two months old and I try really hard to still keep a routine and schedule as much as possible, especially at bedtime...this normally includes a dream feed around 9:30-10:30pm, then he’s been pretty good about sleeping a 4.5-5.5 hour stretch after his last evening feed. Anyhow...the husband said he wouldn’t take his dream feed last night at 10:30 and it threw everything off to where he was then up at 1am, 4:30am and again at 6am for feeds. I was sooo irritated and had so much anxiety when I woke up to find him feeding him around 1am knowing the rest of the night would be little sleep and threw everything off...anyhow, the point of this is...I’m concerned my level of anxiety I get over maintaining his night time routine and how I “deal” with it is not normal. I tell myself he’s just a baby and it’s not going to always go the way I hope (of course) but it’s more when we have people over and I’m scrambling to get him to sleep or planning out his evening...the whole thing is stressful lol. We are due to bbq and have an early bonfire at our house and after last night all I can think of is cancelling because it will prob interfere somehow with his (and ultimately our) sleep. :(
