34 week check up
This whole pregnancy has had so many ups and downs. Due to lupus I'm monitored closely. At first biweekly appointments to weekly appointments from the second trimester on and biweekly ultrasounds from the get go. I feel like they see things that would typically go unnoticed bc most don't get as many ultrasounds as I do.I'm grateful for getting to see him so often but sometimes it causes unnecessary worries. Thursday I went in for my biweekly growth scan to find out my placenta is aging too fast. It's aged at 38 weeks and starting to get calcium deposits. I guess it's decided it wants to be done. Of course I wanted to do some research and now I wish I hadn't. I'm trying not to worry or stress but now I'm worried about all the possibilities including stillbirth. I go back Tuesday for another ultrasound to see if they need to take him early or see if he can wait until 36 weeks. My little guy has been behind on growth for a while so I guess he's not getting as much nutrition as he needs. He's barely weighing 4lbs. I'm hoping he can gain a little more weight before he comes. Anyone in the same boat or experienced this in a previous pregnancy? The good news is we did manage to finally get a good face shot even if it's squished up. Lol
