Hysteroscopy, D&C, Polypectomy, MyoSure Procedure

Melissa

Ok ladies so here’s my story,

Thanksgiving 2018 I found out I was pregnant. Fast forward to December 24 2018 I started bleeding. Went to the hospital to get checked, all was fine baby was fine. December 26, is when everything took a turn, the bleeding became worse and at this point I was bleeding through a pad every 30 min. I already knew in my heart that this was the end and I would later come to learn of my miscarriage. January 9th went in for a follow up ultrasound to make sure my body did what it is supposed to do in this situation and it did. My period returned in February. In April my period was 2 weeks late and thought I may have been pregnant, which I was not. Scheduled an appointment with my doctor and we had a game plan to try and figure out what was going on. I went back 2 weeks later in May after my Period finally came and had what is called a sonohysterography. It’s a saline infused ultrasound. With that we discovered I had 2 polyps on my uterus. In order for me to have a safe and successful pregnancy they needed to be removed.

Yesterday 8/9/19 I had the MyoSure procedure done. I was scared as all hell, but I knew that it needed to be done if I wanted to have children in the future. Let me tell you I was scared for nothing. My doctor was absolutely amazing. She explained everything to me before we went back to the OR, the nurses and anesthesia tech took great care of me, before I knew it I was in recovery. I had some slight bleeding and slight period type cramps but that was it. My doctor came in to tell me that in addition to the 2 polyps they found before there was another 2 down low on my uterus. The surgery was successful and I will be able to try again for my rainbow baby in a month.
