I woke up at 4:15am to make my fiance's coffee for his work. He has to be at work by 5. (He doesn't make me do it, I choose to do it to make his life easier and I like spending the few minutes together before he goes to work.)

I made put the coffee on and pushed start.

I went to the bathroom and discovered my "bloody show."

I went and told him. At this point I'm 38.5 weeks. So I was like "shits getting real!" Lol. Then about 20 minutes later...went to the bathroom again to discover my "mucus plus."

It was crazy to me because with my daughter...I never had any of that so seeing those things were new to me. This will be my second kid and really this whole pregnancy has been the complete opposite than my first!

So my fiance went to work and said to call with updates. Completely not expecting to go into delivery mode...I said well let me take a last "bumpie" just in case it's my last.

Shortly after taking this photo.. I felt a big gush. I was like "this is not happening already!" Called my fiance and as I'm talking to had another big gush.so I went in the shower to check and it was bloody so I was freaking out... Again..with my daughter... that didnt happen so was still very new to me! I had an obgyn appointment at 10 am but obviously wasnt going to go...i called my midwife and she said get ready and come in to hospital.

Ofcourse I'm frantically running around because I completely did not think he was coming this early. Yeah yeah I know I should be prepared reguardless because it can be anytime but I was just super suprise it was happening already! So I keep feeling like im forgetting something or missing things.

My daughter wakes up in the midst of the chaos and I'm like "chess, you're brother is coming like very soon!" And she looks at me and says...." can I please have apple juice?" Lol! I'm like shes thinking yeah right you've been saying that 9 months. Haha.

Anyway. My fiances parents get there and pick my daughter up..yadda yadda..

We get to hospital. Come to find out after being checked.... my water didnt break at all !! It was straight blood! So the doc ( none of midwives were in at that point) said that she thinks my uterus was sedating and I had a slight abruption. So she wanted to.mpnitor me and see if I would progress naturally...check if baby was stressed... so they were either going to let me naturally deliver...induce me...or if he got stressed out an emergency c section.

So this whole time and therein after...I was still having gushes of blood. Was getting contracions on my own and each contraction came a gush of blood. The contractions were getting regular. Every 5 mins then every 3. They were getting powerful and much more painful. I asked for the ball which helped tremendously!

Well. Then the contractions slowed dow and stopped being regular. Then it became a pattern of regular then random. His heart rate through all of this remained strong and awesome. So doc decided to induce me and put me on pitocin.

Aug 9th a.m

That's when shit got real.🤣

I was trying to deal with the contractions best I could without getting the epidural.

I was a few hours in on pitocin and finally they were coming every 30 seconds or so or less and were STRONG! at this point wed been up since 4 a.m and it was now about 2am the next morning! So I was exhausted and decided that I'd rather enjoy the rest and I dint have to argue with this bully in my head about taking it like a woman and whatever else.

I said please give me that epidural. Lol.

So I finally got.. I'd say about a 45 min nap.

Well staff and nurse changehappened and new nurse said let's check ya!

Welp theres the head...you're ready!!

Doc comes in because midwives were still not in there..( still unsure why or what was up with that)

And all within 15 mins of checking me.... I'm pushing. With in 3 big pushes....he is out!!!!

And here he is!!! Was born at 38.5 weeks.
