Apple juice for constipation?

Anyone ever given a tiny amount of apple juice or prune juice for constipation?
UPDATE - gave 1oz of apple juice and he had a blowout about 30 minutes later!

We did apple juice one part to 10 parts water and worked instantly. Needs to be natural apple juice with no added sugar or preservatives.

Juices only work if it's MILD!
Best thing is the pedilax glycerin suppositories. 
Pedilax tablets, yogurt, and applesauce for older kids.
Miralax if stools are still hard. 
But definitely increase water intake!

Pear juice worked for me!! Put 1 tsp in a bottle and he was fine... only had to do it once so far
