Piece of Tampon Left Inside

Half an hour ago I took out a tampon before it was fully soaked and it was hard to get out. I pulled it the wrong way and pieces of it were ripped off. I think some of the bits are still inside. I was able to dig out some of it but I don’t think I got it all. Should I go to a doctor and how soon?
