My husband is a great man, great provider, hard worker and dedicated father. He supports our children and myself in everything and I appreciate him so much. However, like anyone he has his faults.

He works 5 days a week, off on weekends. He stops at the liquor store every Saturday morning on his way home from work. He'd get a case of beer and a bottle of vodka or tequila. By Monday morning the 24pk of beer is gone (if I have a couple) and the bottle is more than halfway empty... sometimes they're completely empty and he'd buy another one.

For years I've been trying to talk to him about his drinking. I say trying because he always gets offended and responds real nasty like and say things I'm trying to control him or trying to limit him.

I don't have these conversations when he's drinking, which is tough because he's usually taking a few even on his work days, so it's kinda hard getting him without a glass. I've even stopped drinking myself but that went unnoticed.

I love my husband and as I mentioned, he's a great guy otherwise, I just would really like it if he'd stop drinking so much. The problem with it is it's a complete turn off having a drunk , heavy man licking and literally slobbering all over me. His alcohol breath doesn't make kissing him fun and unlike alot of men, he can actually go all night when he's like this 😔😒. He's also extremely rough and not at all considerate of mine or the children's feelings. He'd make shitty jokes and rough house way too much and "stop" or "I'm not playing" means absolutely nothing.

I'm not even angry anymore, just secretly wish there was somewhere I can take the kids when he's like this.

Now I can do without the leave him comments because I'm not doing that. This can be worked on so I'm just looking for advice on the best way to approach this. Should I talk to our parents? Should I schedule counseling? Should I tell him I'll leave if he doesn't work on it? Idk what to do 😔

EDIT *** this was bought today and he's still hanging out playing video games. He'd normally do this until early morning and it'll have maybe a drink or two left.

Also, he's drinking this alone, straight, no chaser. I wish he'd just put a straw in it and go to town already, smdh!
