Had my mono/Di boys today!

34+5 and my water broke at home, I was already 3 cm the last 2 weeks so we knew we had to get to the hospital fast. Got into OB triage they check me and I’m already 8 cm, I was having a repeat c section so they were prepping me for that very quickly. I had such bad pelvic pain all day and once the water broke the contractions got bad immediately. Nurses were having trouble getting an IV in since I have heard veins for a stick finally got one in. I told them I was feeling a lot of pressure, this was probably 30 min after being checked the last time, she checked again and I was fully dilated! They rushed me to the OR running down the hallway telling me not to push. Doc met us in the OR and said I may have to deliver the first one vaginally since he was so far down and ready to pop out. He said we can try for the spinal block and I said absolutely, I wasn’t thrilled about having a completely natural vaginal delivery when it was unexpected. They got the spinal block done and then started the c section immediately. Lots of pulling and tugging and pressure, took a while to get baby A back up since he was so far down. Baby A born at 3:58 pm weighing 3.9 pounds,baby B born at 3:59 pm weighing 4.4 pounds. Both are doing great up in the NICU. Original due date was Sept 16th, but decided to be August 10th babies!
