Hard to get back. What a lot of people don’t realize is that it takes work on both ends... most of the time the betrayed feels no responsibility and has too much pride/ego and victim complex to actually get anywhere. You can’t be afraid to grow. True forgiveness is for you, not the other person. Trust is dynamic. If it can’t be lost and earned, it wasn’t trust to begin with, it was an assumption. People are human and fallible, too many people hold others to standards that don’t allow for imperfection. Growing as a person, and growth in a relationship requires so discomfort and vulnerability. This is why people often bounce from person to person believing the one they are with is “it” until they become disappointed and move on to the next “one”. Their relationships can’t survive beyond challenges. They just conclude it’s the wrong person and continue on their pattern because they never grow, how often do people admit fault in a break up? It’s always the other person in one way or another.

Impossible to get back 100% , even if you’ve forgiven whatever broke the trust.

Depends really on the situation but even after you know you can trust 100% you will only trust 99.9% and will have that .1 of doubt and reservation
