What age is it safe to cosleep?

Just curious, what you all think :)

Co-sleeping and bedsharing are different. Co- sleeping is safe at any age as long as they are in their own safe sleep space on their back with no blankets, pillows or stuffed animals around them. Bedsharing isn’t safe till older in my opinion. After a year at least. Adult mattresses aren’t safe for infants and babies- their faces could squish into it and suffocate. Blankets and pillows aren’t recommended with them till after a year as well. Plus deep sleepers could roll on baby or they could roll off the bed a get serious injuries that way too.

Safesleep recommendations are meant to be followed until 12 months.

All my babies slept in a bedside bassinet until around 3 months, then slept in bed with me.

I didn’t start having my daughter sleep in bed with us until after she turned six months. Before then she was too small for me to feel comfortable having her in bed.

They have co-sleepers you can put on the bed or attach to the side of your bed. So I say birth IF you have a co sleeper. But if you going to sleep with baby in the bed I say 6+months

Guessing you mean bed-sharing and not just sleeping in the same room. Our son is 14 months and I’m still not comfortable with it because he’ll roll/crawl and fall off the bed. If he really needs snuggles to sleep, we go to the couch and he sleeps on the inside with one of us sleeping on the outside so we know when he moves and he has no where to roll. Once he’s old enough to know how to get off the bed without getting hurt, we might let him snuggle with us in bed.
