MIL putting son to bed?
Hi ladies,
My husband and I have a date night this Thursday, we are seeing a comedy show that we bought tickets for last year. We are SO excited to see one of our favourite comedians but I am so nervous leaving my LO for the first time.
The show is at 7pm and we'll be home by 9ish.
Our son goes to bed around 7:30-8pm. My MIL is coming over to put him to bed and do his usual bedtime routine. She's REALLY great with our son and he regularly goes to her house while she baby sits him atleast twice a week, so he is used to her and I believe comfortable with her.
I've been the only one putting my LO to bed and I'm so nervous me not being there is going to throw off his routine.
I have some questions if you ladies don't mind me asking.
1) I exclusively breastfeed - I pumped two bottles for my son (4oz each) for my MIL to give him before bed. I nurse him right before bed as his last feed and he is out like a light. Do you think he'll be okay taking the bottles of milk and go down fairly easy?
2) We are leaving at 6:30pm, I typically do his bath around 7pm. Should I just do his bath before we leave to relieve my MIL so that she can just focus on feeding him and putting him to bed.
3) I know it's only one night but will this throw off his routine by me not being there to put him to bed?
I'm a FTM and have never left my son for someone else to put him to bed so I'm just worried.
Thank you in advance❤
