1 gallon of water??

I’m just wondering if it’s safe to drink 1 gallon of water every day?? What’s the benefits of it?

There is such thing as too much water but a gallon is reasonable as long as it’s spaced out throughout the day. 
Too much water can through off your electrolytes.

You're supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces.
The benefits could be: avoiding constipation, flushing your system of bacteria or viruses or chemicals or toxins that could otherwise do harm or cause infection & illness, better urinary tract and kidney heath, better digestion, better skin, etc.
There are so many benefits of drinking enough water. 
I actually do water fasts (not like the diet kinds, just drink 20 or more ounces of water before breakfast/first meal of the day) & on occasion or drink more water with the purpose of curing constipation, or to avoid catching a flu I might have been exposed to. 
You would not believe exactly how effective this method has been for me! 
If I water fast or drink a lot of water/hydrating liquids after being exposed to an illness, so far I never have gotten it.
If I water fast/drink more because I already feel I might have a cold coming on, so far I get better every time.... 
Im not sure if i have a good immune system  (might have an overactive one, given my food sensitivities and reactions to pressure anywhere on my body 🤔) 
Or if the water actually flushes my system that well.
