Medication to make me ovulate advice....

I am now on day 47 of being late.. Im not pregnant and my last cycle was from 6/1-6/4. Doc wants to put me on a medication to make me ovulate... I know nothing about this and would like some info or advice if you could offer some of really appreciate it!!! ❤❤
