We had one it was a lot of fun. I just recommend talking about ground rules first. We didn't, and luckily we're all laid back and it didn't cause any issues but I could see how it might for some people.

My husband and I have had a few threesomes and we both really enjoy it. It’ll be different for everyone but this is what works for us. 1. Setting ground rules well before hand. 2. I did the talking to the other women. He had no contact other than when I brought them around. 3. He always finished in me/he couldn’t finish in the (even though he used a condom). 4. They HAD to be on birth control 5. I got to know them first to make sure it’d be a good fit then I’d introduce them. 
We’ve never brought another man in the bedroom so I have no suggestions but I’m sure it could be similar.

Can I be give really honest advice?? 
I was “the other woman” in a married couples threesome. He then tried to sleep with just me a few days later and I told the wife. It was a really uncomfortable situation and they had a really hard time trying to get things back to normal and it just wasn’t after. We were all friends before and didn’t speak after that. My husband and I have talked about it a couple times but after my experience we decided not to bring ANY third parties into our marriage. But we fantasize about it a lot together. 
But plenty of couples have them and are able to go back to normal. So my advice is to be 100% positive that you guys both want it and that there are rules and boundaries. And make it someone you guys won’t talk to or be around after so that things don’t get complicated or awkward.
