How long is your baby going between feeds?

Question

Up until recently my almost 5 week old was wanting to nurse every 2.5 hours. Now suddenly I’m noticing were going past the 3 hour mark into 4. Should I be enforcing every 3 hours? Or is a 4 hour stretch normal? Feels very soon.

I read somewhere that as long as they have reached their birth weight you can let them tell you when they’re hungry but to not go past 5 hours. 
Baby tells me when he’s hungry and then we change and feed. During the day it’s pretty much every 2.5-3 hours and at night anywhere from
2.5-5hrs

I would cap naps to 2 hours and not go past 3 hours between feeds so you can ensure he’s getting enough food during the day and will sleep longer stretches at night.

Our pediatrician said one is normal and 2 is ok otherwise we should wake her up so shell sleep more at night but one way or another the baby needs to eat at least 8 times.

I think it’s ok, my 5 week old will eat every 3-4 hours and at night she sleeps for 5..

4 hours is fine .. my son goes 3.5 to 4 hours between feedings .. he wince went 7 hours no matter what I would do he wouldnt wake up
