My friend’s boyfriend wants to propose to my friend and he is asking for my help. he told me he wants to talk to her mom and ask for her blessing but now he just told me that he will text her since she lives in another country and knowing her mom she wouldn’t like to be ask for her blessing via text message

Is that a good thing? For him to text such an important question to her mom? Or should he try to call her or FaceTime her?
