Induced?

A lady today was very very adamant with me today that because of my GD I will be induced at  exactly 37 weeks and there’s no way around it, that’s just how it is. Is there any truth to that??

They generally don’t like you you to go to 40 weeks, although most inductions are at at least 38 weeks unless there’s a reason to do it sooner. Best of luck!

This is my second pregnancy with GD, both diet controlled. They let me go into labour on my own the first time & will be going into labour on my own again this time 😊

Mine is diet controlled and my midwives don’t plan on inducing me due to GD. We’re only going to talk induction if I’m getting close to the 42 week cutoff.

I am on my second pregnancy with GD and I was induced at 39 and 4 with the first and I will be induced at 39 exactly with this one and I’m also AMA this time around.

I was induced at 37.5 weeks in last pregnancy because I was getting hypos 3 days in a row and baby had an abnormal placenta. This pregnancy there is no talk of induction at all. So if your bloods look good and baby is healthy and size is ok, don’t see why they would.

I wasn’t induced with my son until 39 and 5. This time around, I have a c-section scheduled at 36 weeks (next week 😬), but that is because I have had other issues with my twins along with the GD.

If you are on medication you will most likely be induced but 37 weeks is really early unless there are other issues. Most doctors will suggest induction between 39-40 weeks.
