My dentist told me that as long as baby isn’t sleeping with the bottle in their mouth, it doesn’t really matter when you stop. My son (2.5) has a bottle before bed and during the night when he wakes, always finishing and tossing the bottle before rolling over to sleep. He has no oral issues and it keeps me sane 🙃

My health nurse told me to get rid of the bottles at 12 months and just use a sippy cup and also to try drop his bottles down to just 2 or 3 a day. My son is 18 months and has one in morning and one at night now

My daughter just stopped them completely at 13 months. I was trying so hard as she turned a year old to get her off them, then one day, she just refused. I was very OK with that!

We transitioned to whole milk and cups when he turned 1. Took about two weeks and he was totally done with bottles and formula. He hadn’t had a bottle to go to sleep since probably 6 or 7 months, so that helped.

I stopped cold turkey on my sons first birthday. No more bottles or formula. Soppy with whole milk.
