Faint Line.... Not sure what it means

My period was due between

yesterday and today, I usually start cramping a week/few days before my period arrives. Yesterday I started spotting and noticed it was only when I wipe, I have had no period cramps. My period usually just starts, never spots. Nothing was on my pad overnight, so I decided to take a pregnancy test, you can see the control line clear as day but a very faint second line. Before I go to the pharmacy and purchase a bunch of different test I wanted some advice. What does this test mean with a faint line? Should I just wait a couple more days?
