Gallstones in early pregnancy
A friend of mine has gallstones and thinks she could possibly be pregnant. We tried googling and nothing brought out any clear answers, so I told her I’d try here. Per google, you can get gallstones as a “symptom” of pregnancy. But our question is, if you already have gallstones, can the effects of those (the sharp pains) intensify if you’re pregnant? She normally only gets the pain attacks a couple times a month if she eats poorly, but this past week she’s had 4 attacks without eating poorly. So she thinks she’s pregnant (testing on Friday) and is wondering if that’s why she’s getting attacks more often. I know it’s a long shot but anything helps! Thank you❤️
