First OBGYN Appointment? 👩‍⚕️

How soon after your BFP did you schedule your first doctor's appointment? I'm 4 weeks now. Wondering if I need to wait a couple weeks to get past the possibility of a chemical pregnancy?

I just scheduled mine. And my doc won’t see me until week 8. But schedule as soon as possible so at least you’re scheduled and the doctor is aware of the pregnancy

My OB won’t schedule anything until you’re at least 8 weeks 😊 so I would call to get one scheduled in case they are busy

Most midwives or ob/gyns won’t see you til 8-10weeks anyway so schedule the faster the better you’d hate to have to wait longer than you have too lol

I called like 30 minutes after to schedule an appointment. I found out at 4w2d? Appt is scheduled for 7w1d with a nurse practitioner for more of a consultation. 10w3d I'm scheduled for appt with dr for ultrasound. Thought I would have needed to be seen sooner than later, but 🤷‍♀️

Just called the midwives and both last pregnancy that ended in mc and this pregnancy they are having me come in at 8 weeks.

Call right away to reserve an appointment at least and to stay in contact with any complications. They’ll set the appt for you. If it’s your first and no history of complications it’ll prob be between 8w-10w gestation. If you’ve had previous miscarriages they’ll schedule you for blood draws and an earlier ultrasound usually

My first apt was at 4w5d. My first ultrasound is at 6w5d and then another dr apt at 8w5d. :)

Just went to my first ultrasound at 6 weeks, 1 day, but I went through ivf and am being monitored very closely.
