Salinogram?!?

Question

Any ladies have a salinogram? My RE is doing one on me this upcoming Saturday I’m just trying to know what to expect. Funnily enough I’m actually an X-ray tech so I’ve done sooooo many HSGs as a technologist (not as a patient), but I’ve never actually seen a salinogram I think mostly bc they don’t do those in the hospital they do them in the doctors offices. Should I expect it to be similar to a HSG? I understand the process of the salinogram its basically a HSG but with water but do you feel that it hurt more or less than a HSG?

Thank you ladies! I’m not as worried for it now. He said it’s basically the first step for IVF he uses it to make sure everything looks good and clean and it also helps him “map” so to speak so he’s prepared for the retrieval and the transfer

I got instructions to take painkillers before so it was fine, uncomfortable but not very painful and very quick.
I did saline and the hydro foam pingo-thing in quick sequence.

It was a breeze! I was so scared and spent the days leading up to it reading and freaking out. I took 3 aleve before and didn’t feel a thing. The HSG was beyond painful for me.

Salinogram was a breeze for me. It actually got rid of a lot of old, dried “stuff” in my uterus as a bonus. Good luck!

I’ve had both and they’re so quick. Minimal cramping and discomfort. I would say the saline was less cramping than the HSG. Good luck

The HSG was awful.  My doc said she should have put me under.  I was terrified of the saline sono after the HSG.  It was a breeze, though.  Way faster, uncomfortable, but not painful.
