Can someone explain to me why fading is good after a positive ovulation test?

You generally ovulate after the LH surge. Sonl if the peak is fading you're closer to ovulating.

If 4th was my peak and the 5th said it was fading ovulation is around the corner did I do it enough? Or should i have done it few more days?
