I just need a friend
None of my friend will answer my messages or phone calls.
Since my husband’s grandfather passed away in November, he’s had this notion that he needs to move across the country to be a preacher. Does he have experience? No. Has he even gone to school for it? No. Does he want to go to school for it? Again, no.
In January, he told me he liked a church he saw on YouTube that’s in Kansas City. We live in Ohio with the rest of my family and half of his (the rest retired in Florida). I thought he had lost it personally. Death can make people do crazy things.
Since then I’ve found out that he’s been applying for jobs all over the country on his LinkedIn account. “Just messing around” he’d say. But he’d never tell me about them till after I saw them. (I only saw them because he’s already be logged in when I’d go to view mine and I would realize it).
He got a call last week to do an interview THIS week, with a company right in the city we live in. He came home early from work today happier than a pig in mud. I asked what was going on? He said “I had a GREAT day today! I got a call from another company!..... More money too. Guess where it is?!?!?!” .....where? “KANSAS CITY!!!” He then told me I” know you’re not happy about moving but start warming up to us making a trip out there soon to check it out.” He didn’t even ask my opinion. He just talked to them TODAY.
I can’t even look at him right now. He just keeps telling me to start warming up to it. “Get used to the idea”.
I have all my family here. I’m super close to all of them. I see one of my brothers every week. We even have a scheduled day that is the weekly hanging out day. We became members at a new church this year that I love. I have so many new friends I didn’t have before that are super supportive to me. I feel apart of another small family. I volunteer hours there and I’m really involved. He just fine with uprooting from it and going somewhere else.
I can’t even talk to him right now and he keeps asking what’s wrong.
