So I started seeing this guy about 8 months ago but I studied abroad while we were talking and then had an internship out of state. We seemed like we were okay when I came back from studying abroad, but over the summer he stopped talking to me as much and even stopped making plans with me when I drove home every two weeks to see him. He stopped messaging me for 8 days while it was his finals week but I saw him posting on social media.

I liked him a lot and he treated me great whenever we hung out in person. Problem is, he said he didn’t think he was at a good point for an official relationship, but agreed we were dating and exclusive. I finally messaged him though asking if we could be friends for now (since he never has time for me and isn’t making strides to asking me to be his girlfriend) because I’m going back to college in two weeks (again out of state) and I don’t want the anxiety of dealing with the games anymore. He said that would be okay, but then deleted me off all social media (while he continues to have good relationships and talks to his exes).

I want to clear the air and see if we can at least be friends but I’m worried he was really hurt by me ending things. I don’t know what to do.
