People tell me that I'm wrong... *UPDATE*

It's already tough second guessing yourself as a first time mum....

People say I'm spoiling him by letting him fall asleep in my arms.

People jokingly say "he'll never settle without you" as if he's going to be like this forever.

People pass judgement on me by telling me that's not how they did it with their kids with an almost disgusted look on their faces....

Well,

I'm not spoiling him; I savour every single sweet moment with him because even as he lays sleeping in my arms, I miss him.

He WILL settle on his own when both of us are ready. Can you picture a highschool kid needing to be lulled to sleep? Neither can I.

I won't ever make the same calls as you as a parent because me and my child are different people to you. What is right for me may very well not be right for you and vice versa.

Lift eachother up, it's a much kinder, brighter world with support. 🌞

**UPDATE**

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for their kind words and stories. Not ONE negative comment has been on this thread and it makes my heart smile, it really is such a brighter world with kindness and support ✊🏼 for those asking, my son is 12 (almost 13) months old and we won't stop until we're both ready. This special "us" time is a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of life ❤️❤️❤️
