I own homes that rent out. One of my lease agreements is no pets allowed unless otherwise discussed meaning we discussed their animal and I allowed it( certain animals are not a issue fish, reptiles etc) I don’t do this because I hate animals I actually love animals and have two dogs and 3 cats that are apart of the family. I have this in the lease agreement because I’ve had people who have rented before and dogs have teared up the furniture and ruined the carpets. So I have a renter who I found out has a dog in the home. I have talked to this renter and they had their dog before they started living there but purposely went against the lease agreement and kept it secret because their dog is apart of the family. So my question is what would you do if you were a landlord and had a tenant who purposely went against your lease agreement in this way?
