Screen time and children

I'm a FTM but I have been around lots of children and family. I have seen what technology can do to children. I plan to raise my kids the way I was, with limited access to technology. It is because I'm worried about addiction. The news stories of these parents needing to negotiate tablet use with their kids blows my mind. I never ever negotiated with my mother it was yes or no. I turned out great. I plan to have my children grow up the same way.

What are your concerns with technology and children and how do you plan on raising your kids around it?
